At 7:41 p.m. EDT, Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a severe thunderstorm capable of producing very strong wind gusts and up to nickel size hail. This severe thunderstorm is located 17 kilometres west of Port Albert, moving southeast at 50 km/h. Hazard: 90 km/h wind gusts and nickel size hail. Locations impacted include: Goderich, Point Farms Provincial Park, Port Albert, Benmiller, Auburn and St. Augustine. ### Large hail may cause significant damage and injury. Severe thunderstorms can produce tornadoes. Severe thunderstorm warnings are issued when imminent or occurring thunderstorms are expected to produce damaging hail, wind or rain.

Instruction

Take immediate cover if a thunderstorm approaches. If outside, protect yourself from flying debris and hail. Emergency Management Ontario recommends that you take cover immediately if threatening weather approaches.
