At 4:36 p.m. PDT, Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a severe thunderstorm capable of producing strong wind gusts, up to nickel size hail and heavy rain. A cluster of severe thunderstorms south and east of Merritt is near the Coquihalla Highway - Hope to Merritt and the Okanagan Connector. This cluster is moving northeast at 20 km/h. ### Weather in the mountains can change suddenly resulting in hazardous driving conditions. Severe thunderstorm warnings are issued when imminent or occurring thunderstorms are expected to produce damaging hail, wind or rain. Road conditions are available at https://www.drivebc.ca/.
