Squalls with wind gusts up to 35 knots, frequent lightning and hail of 1 to 2 centimetres are expected or occurring in the area. Thunderstorms crossing Lake Erie are moving southeast at 20 knots. Wind gusts near 35 knots are possible with these thunderstorms. ### Large hail can damage vessels and cause injury. Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada. Vessels without lightning protection should make their way to shore immediately. Mariners are advised to prepare for squalls. If underway, seek safe harbour immediately. Take cover immediately, if threatening weather approaches. Consider delaying or postponing travel in areas under the squall warning.

When: Continuing this evening. Additional information: Isolated thunderstorms are expected over the area. These thunderstorms are expected to move east of the area later this evening. ### Local utility outages are possible. Strong wind gusts can damage trees, buildings and overturn vehicles. Severe thunderstorm watches are issued when conditions are favourable for the development of thunderstorms capable of producing damaging hail, wind or rain.
