* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of northwest Pennsylvania, including the following county, Erie. * WHEN...Until 1115 PM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 811 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Erie, Edinboro, North East, Girard, Waterford, Albion, Northwest Harborcreek, Harborcreek, Lawrence Park, Wesleyville, Lake City, Cranesville, Platea, Mill Village, McKean, Northwest Harborcr and Avonia. - Please visit www.weather.gov/safety/flood for flood safety and preparedness information.

Instruction

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.

Conditions are favourable for the development of squalls with wind gusts up to 40 knots and poor to very poor visibility in thunderstorms heavy at times. Thunderstorms may continue to track across portions of Lake Huron, Georgian Bay, Lake St. Clair, Lake Erie, and Lake Ontario through this evening. ### Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada. For more information monitor Canadian Coast Guard radio or Weatheradio stations.

Instruction

Mariners are advised to prepare for potential squalls. Vulnerable vessels are most at risk and should seek safe harbour if underway.
