The National Weather Service in Medford has issued a Red Flag Warning, which is in effect from 2 PM this afternoon to 11 PM PDT this evening. * IMPACTS...Abundant lightning on dry fuels resulting in the potential for numerous new fire starts. * AFFECTED AREA...In Oregon, portions of Fire Weather Zones 616, 620, and 623, and all of 621, 622, 617. This covers areas mainly along and east of the I-5 corridor to the Cascade Crest, including Roseburg, Grants Pass and Medford. * THUNDERSTORMS...Isolated to scattered thunderstorms expected.
