Buildings on the river side of the Berwick floodwall will flood. River traffic restrictions will be strictly enforced. In addition, backwater flooding could potentially impact portions areas around Lake Palourde and Stephensville. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 9:00 AM CDT Sunday the stage was 6.5 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 9:00 AM CDT Sunday was 6.7 feet. - Forecast...The river will fall to 6.4 feet tomorrow morning. It will then rise to 6.6 feet early Tuesday morning. It will fall to 6.3 feet Tuesday evening. It will then rise to 6.4 feet early Wednesday morning. For the Lower Mississippi River...including Red River Landing, Baton Rouge, Donaldsonville, Reserve...Minor to Major flooding is forecast. * WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Mississippi River at Red River Landing. * WHEN...Until Wednesday, May 21. * IMPACTS...At 59.0 feet, The east bank levee will be topped and the prison farm land between the two levees will be inundated. Angola Landing will be under water closing the ferry there. All river islands along the reach from Red River Landing to Baton Rouge will remain inundated with recreational camps and river bottom farm land under water. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 10:00 AM CDT Sunday the stage was 58.9 feet. - Bankfull stage is 46.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 58.9 feet this afternoon. In addition, low-lying roads in Southwest Beauregard Parish are flooded including Robert Clark Road. Flooding occurs on the south side of Niblett Bluff Park with access roads to camp houses cut off around the park.
