* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of southeast Texas, including the following counties, Grimes, Harris, Montgomery and Waller. * WHEN...Until 830 PM CDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 633 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Moderate flooding is forecast. * WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast. * WHERE...San Bernard River near Boling. * WHEN...Until early Sunday morning. * IMPACTS...At 25.0 feet, Moderate lowland flooding continues with significant backwater flooding up Peach Creek and minor backwater flooding up West Bernard Creek in Wharton County. Backwater flooding up Snake Creek threatens low-lying areas in the Tierra Grande subdivision. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 8:15 AM CDT Friday the stage was 23.8 feet. - Bankfull stage is 14.0 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 8:15 AM CDT Friday was 23.9 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage tomorrow afternoon and continue falling to 4.7 feet Wednesday morning. - Flood stage is 18.0 feet. - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 23.8 feet on 06/03/1992. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
