Instruction

Stay cool, stay hydrated, stay informed. Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Do not leave young children and pets in unattended vehicles. Car interiors will reach lethal temperatures in a matter of minutes. Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke.

* WHAT...High temperatures in the upper 80s to mid 90s with overnight temperatures in the mid 60s to lower 70s. * WHERE...Curry County Coast, all the way to the beaches in Brookings and Harbor and just inland as far north as Gold Beach. * WHEN...Until 11 PM PDT this evening. * IMPACTS...Unusually warm to hot temperatures will increase risk for heat illnesses. Warm overnight temperatures will provide little relief from daytime temperatures.
