* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible. * WHERE...A portion of west central Texas, including the following counties, Brown, Callahan, Coke, Coleman, Concho, Crockett, Irion, Kimble, Mason, McCulloch, Menard, Nolan, Runnels, San Saba, Schleicher, Sterling, Sutton, Taylor and Tom Green. * WHEN...Through Friday morning. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Several rounds of showers and thunderstorms will spread across West Central Texas through sunrise Friday morning. Most areas will see rain totals of one half to 1 inch across the area, with pockets of heavier rainfall of 1 to 2 inches. This will cause some flooding of city streets and low water crossings. In addition, one round of storms late tonight and into the early morning hours may become particularly heavy and slow moving, with some potential for totals of 3 to 5 inches across a handful of counties. * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of central Texas, including the following counties, Lampasas and Mills. * WHEN...Until 245 AM CDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to slow moving showers and thunderstorms. Low lying and/or poor drainage areas will experience minor flooding in the advisory area. Additional rainfall amounts up to 2 inches are forecast. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Copperas Cove, Lampasas, Goldthwaite, Kempner, Mullin, Colorado Bend State Park, Lometa, Ridge, Moline, Center City, Star, Nix, Adamsville, Caradan, Pecan Wells, Bozar, Izoro, Rumley and Regency.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.
