At 656 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong thunderstorms over New Iberia, moving east at 5 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and penny size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to vegetation and outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include... Lafayette, New Iberia, Abbeville, Catahoula, Breaux Bridge, Carencro, St. Martinville, Jeanerette, Avery Island, Broussard, Youngsville, Erath, Delcambre, Henderson, Loreauville, Butte La Rose, Lydia, Acadiana Regional Airport, Jefferson Island, and Coteau.

Instruction

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
