Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Low water crossings may be flooded. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Multiple periods of showers and thunderstorms containing torrential downpours are expected to impact the area this afternoon and evening. At 824 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from near Danville to 6 miles southwest of Stanford to near Liberty to 11 miles northwest of Magnum to 12 miles west of Cains Store to 7 miles northwest of Jamestown to 7 miles south of Columbia to near Burkesville. Movement was east at 35 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and penny size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include... Somerset, Monticello, Mount Vernon, McKee, Boone, Science Hill, Burnside, Cains Store, Donaro, Bummer, Robinet, Gum Sulphur, Shop Branch, Bandy, Horse Lick, Spiro, Climax, Winston, Renfro Valley, and Disputanta.
