Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is already occurring. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Law enforcement reported. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Davenport, Rock Island, Muscatine, Milan, Blue Grass, Buffalo, Andalusia, Fruitland, Grandview, Reynolds, Eliza, Oak Grove, Illinois City, Fairport, Montpelier, Hamlet, Taylor Ridge, Edgington, Loud Thunder Forest Preserve and Shady Creek Campground. This includes Interstate 280 between mile markers 2 and 14. Law enforcement has reported flash flooding in portions of Muscatine impacting some roads.
